Warm Colours

Colours on the same side of the colour wheel as red, such as pink, orange and yellow.

Web Page Elements

A textual or graphical component in a web page.

White Space

The area of negative space around and between elements in a design.

Widow

The last line of a paragraph following the rest, or a single line in a paragraph that is out of place with the rest.

Wireframe

A low-fidelity representation of a user interface design.

Wordmark

A logo which is usually a combination of text and graphic imagery that acts as the company's symbol.

x-height

The distance between the baseline and the mean line of lowercase letters in a typeface. Nearby descenders (such as j) and ascenders (such as q) usually extend slightly below or above this height.

Zeigarnik Effect

A psychological phenomenon that states that people tend to remember unfinished or interrupted tasks better than completed tasks.
